Here I am Blog World. Please, be gentle! *cringe* This is a big deal for me to start a blog. I have been mulling over it for ... a ... long ... time. I really want to start simple, for family and friends, and then go from there. The Lord lays thoughts on my heart daily that I want to share with everyone. Isn't that what we should do anyways? That is the main reason for starting a blog.
Repurpose Yourself. I'm thrilled the Lord laid this title on my heart. I feel it really captures my heart. I am always thinking of how I can become better. Problem is the "I" in that last sentence. I am always trying on my own to "fix" myself. (Are you nodding your head?) From that point, I continue to struggle on daily basis with not living up to these standards I have created for myself. Fail. Major fail.
I want to Repurpose myself for the Lord. That is... scratch what I want for myself and discover His purpose for me. More Him and less me. What is the purpose the Lord has laid out for my life? Where do we discover that? Well, we start at God's Holy Word. God has revealed Himself to us and He has revealed Himself to us through His Word, the Bible. That is the source of discovering the purpose He has for our lives. Sounds elementary? Should be, but I continue to struggle and neglect God's Word. Anyone besides me tired of struggling like this? Let's Repurpose ourselves for the Lord and HIS work. Will you join me?
Hopefully with each post I will be able to draw a connection with Reurposing and see what happens from there. This is only the beginning. To God be the glory...
